Welcome to the Forest Room Page

Hello Forest Room, our names are Mrs Haslam and Miss Green and we are helped by Miss Makin during the morning. Mrs Parkinson the Assistant Head and SENCo is also based in the Forest Room.  We are a very busy little room!

Home Work and Home Reading

At the start of the school year you will be given a homework dairy and a book bag.  The new homework will be set and brought home on a Monday.  Homework will be set according to your child`s ability and should be completed as independently as possible. The homework should be returned completed on a Friday morning. (The children will be rewarded for homework completed and returned on time)

Your child`s book bag will come home every night and needs to be returned each morning. Please could you check the book bag for important information, but newsletters will be on the school website weekly. It is really important to try and read with your child as often as you can.  We recommend 3 times a week would be great!  The person who has read with the child at home needs to sign the reading record and identify pages read, this will also help to ensure that books are changed only when completed.  They will have a book in their bag that matches their ability.  There will also be some information sheets that will give you examples of activities that you can do that will enhance your child`s learning.
