Welcome to 3VW!!
The class teacher in 3VW is Mrs Wilkinson and we are very lucky to have Miss Eaton who helps us!
Unfortunately, our school is currently closed to most children but hopefully we will all be back together in class soon. In the mean time we must do our best to keep ourselves and others safe by staying at home. If you are learning from home, click on the learning by questions link which can be found below. Enter the code I will send to you each morning. (sent via text message) Enter your name on the learning by questions page and the password 7 BLUE CLOCKS to access your daily learning for maths, reading and writing. Any videos or information you may need or that will help you complete your work will be posted in the class home learning folder so try to check this every day.
In Maths we will be doing a lot of place value practise; as well as learning arithmetic strategies to solve calculations. We will also be using Times Table Rock Stars and learning by questions websites (links to both below.)
In Science this term we are learning about Rock and Soils, so we will be finding out about the different types of rock and how they are made. We will also be learning about fossils and how they are formed.
In English we are reading extracts from the learning by questions website and completing online comprehension questions focusing on retrieving information, inference skills and making predictions.
In PSHE lessons we are focusing on our dreams and goals.
In Computing we will be continuing with our work on touch typing using purple mash and learning about how to use email (see below for the link.)
In History we will be learning about life in the Bronze Age.
This term there will be having exercise sessions with our very own Joe Wicks, Mr Baker, every morning via zoom at 9.30-9.45am and Spanish lessons with our Spanish teacher, Senorita Valero, via zoom on Wednesdays at 2.15pm. We will also be having weekly class zoom meetings on Mondays and Thursdays at 1pm. All passwords will be sent via text on these mornings. I really look forward to seeing you all on these meetings!
Take care and keep safe,
Mrs Wilkinson and Miss Eaton
