Week Beginning 20/04/2020
Mrs Haslam here, I am missing you all! I hope that you are all well and even though it is really hard, I hope that you are all staying at home. Remember you can still play in your garden with your family or on your own!!! But please do not go and play out the front of your house or in a friends house!!
But I have some exciting news that I want to share with you all. Last night Xander and Alfie were in the garden playing Cluedo with their Dad when they saw something amazing!! it was the Elon Musk Starlink!!! This was a line of about 40 satellites all in a row and look like shooting stars!!!!
The good news is that you can see them again tonight at 10pm! all you need to do is sit in your back garden with a blanket and look at the sky. They look like lots of fast moving dots. I hope that you do manage to see them as it's an amazing sight to be seen. Also, until Wednesday night, we have a meteor shower happening every night called the Lyrid Meteor Shower, so you all also get to see these. How exciting is that?
I do hope that you get to see these amazing sights. Who knows when they will happen again and it will be nice to know that as I am watching these happen, so are all my amazing Forest Room guys. Stay safe and I can't wait to see you all again!

This is a picture of the Starlink! How fantastic is this?
During English, we use the Talk For Writing program which has been designed by Pie Corbett. They have designed some packs for your children to work through at home. I have uploaded 4 packs; the Reception pack for Miss Greens Table and the Years 2, 3, and 4 for my table (Mrs Haslams Table). Read the story and work through the workbook underneath. The stories all have an audio option at the beginning.

Here are some links for some maths work for you to do, if you find the work to easy, go up a level, how high can you go? If this is to hard, go back a level and recap what you know!
