Boccia Team 2024

A massive well done to our Boccia team who this week participated in the Blackburn and Darwen Boccia Competition. The boys played amazingly throughout the tournament topping their group by playing three games and winning all three of them. They went into the quarterfinals and again their performance was outstanding which earned them a spot in the semi-finals. Unfortunately, in this game they were beaten by a single point so didn't reach the finals. Another fantastic effort again   from Team Shad. Well done to them all.

On Tuesday (6th February) our Boccia team participated in the Boccia Final event which was held at QEGS Sports Arena. Team Shad qualified for this event back in November, winning every game and topping the group to progress into the final event. 5 teams, including Team Shad, were invited to the finals event, playing each school once. The competition was very tough but team Shad played unbelievable well to win all 4 games, and therefore were crowned champions of the boccia competition, for the first time ever! An amazing achievement for the 3 pupils who represented school. A massive well done guys!
