Party in the Park

We had an amazing day at the Lancashire School Games' Party in the Park event in Burnley! Eight girls from Year 3 and Year 4 attended and had a fantastic time.

The event was packed with fun activities, starting with football skills sessions where the girls had a go at 3 different activities led by coaches from Burnley FC . They also tried their hand at circus skills, learning to juggle and balance like pros.

One of the best parts was the glow-in-the-dark dance session. Dancing with glow sticks  was so much fun and looked amazing. The day wrapped up with a colour dash and some more dancing, leaving everyone with big smiles.

It was a super fun day with lots of laughs and great memories. Well done to our Year 3 and Year 4 girls for jumping in and having such a great time!

Lancashire School Games

Shadsworth Junior School was invited to the Lancashire School Games which was held at Stanley Park in Blackpool.

The day started with a parade of all the schools around the athletics track. 

The children then took part in a carousel of tag rugby activities in the morning followed by some small sided games in the afternoon. 

The day ended with a presentation and a 'Party in the Park' as well as a sneaky ice cream.
