Mental Health and Wellbeing at our school

Our Aim

At Shadsworth Junior School we recognise that children's mental health is a crucial factor in their over-all wellbeing, and can affect their learning and achievements. We are committed to promoting positive mental health and emotional wellbeing to all students, their families and members of staff.

 

 

What is Mental Health?

We all have mental health. Your mental health affects how you feel, think and act. It refers to your emotional, psychological and social wellbeing. Your mental health can change on a daily basis and over time, and can be affected by a range of factors.

 

Mental Health and Wellbeing team in school:

All staff at Shadsworth Junior School take responsibility for the promotion of positive mental health of all our students. However, there are key members of staff who have a specific role to play.

What if my child is experiencing difficulties with their mental health and wellbeing?

At Shadsworth Junior School we have a pathway we follow for all pupil's wellbeing. We have incredible support within our school and, if needed, are able to work with outside agencies to continue the support.
