Quidditch Day
Children from all year groups have taken part in a Quidditch Day, provided by Enrich Education. The day started with a ‘Sorting Assembly’, where our Captains from year 6 were sorted into each of the Harry Potter Houses, ready for the day of Quidditch!
Classes learnt the role of the different players and the skills involved in Quidditch, before putting these together in some games against each of the Houses! Different players took on the roles of Chaser, Seeker, Keeper and Beater to earn points for their House, before trying to catch the Golden Snitch in the final moments of the game.
At the end of the day, we had a closing assembly to announce the house winner. All the points were added together throughout the day and the winners were the Slytherin house. We also had certificates for the best beater, chaser, keep and snitch.
What a brilliant, fun and active day for our children!
