Year 6 Come Dine With Me

Year 6 have had lots of fun taking part in 'Come Dine With Me'  this half term. To launch the topic, the children enjoyed taste testing and exploring different flavours and textures that work well together and those that don't. The children were then split into groups of six and in pairs, each researched a course of their choice to create their own three course meal. The children were given three hero ingredients which they had to base their recipes around. The starter had to consist of peppers, the main course of chicken and the dessert of apples. The children had lots of fun researching and finding the perfect recipe! 

After each pair had cooked, they were given a score out of ten by our judging panel for the taste and appearance of their dish. Mr Hewitt insisted on being on the panel for both classes and loved trying each dish. He was so impressed and told the children that he would happily pay for their food in a restaurant!
